The sixth Hansi Technology Frontier Forum recently concluded successfully in Hong Kong. With the theme Quantum Computing and Next-Generation Information Infrastructure, this forum attracted more than 1,300 technology practitioners from over 35 countries and regions, marking cumulative HTFF participation above 5,000 person-times since the first forum was held in 2020.
In its section design, this forum continued the five-dimensional structure of keynote speeches, technology review, roundtable dialogue, demo exhibition, and Global Young Technology Leaders Roundtable. Under the frontier theme of quantum computing, it organized four core sub-forums: current development of quantum hardware, quantum algorithms and application scenarios, quantum security and post-quantum cryptography, and quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures.
The keynote session on the opening day invited five guests from top global quantum computing research institutions and enterprises to share their latest judgments on the commercialization process of quantum computing. Several speakers independently emphasized one core view: true breakthroughs in quantum computing will not come from progress in a single hardware indicator, but from the coordinated evolution of hardware, algorithms, and applications. This view also became an important tone for later sub-forum discussions.
The technology review session was one of the core mechanisms of this forum. Over two days, the session conducted on-site reviews of 42 technological achievements from around the world. Ultimately, 13 achievements were rated Excellent and will enter the CTRIT achievement transfer recommendation pool for connection with the association partner enterprise network.
It is especially worth noting that the Global Young Technology Leaders Roundtable was upgraded again after first being introduced at the 2024 Singapore forum. It invited 18 young technology leaders under age 35 to discuss the role of youth in next-generation infrastructure. During the roundtable, young scholars broadly reflected on the current technology evaluation system and called for more diverse and inclusive growth support mechanisms.
The demo exhibition area presented more than 60 physical technological achievements or operating systems from research institutions and startups worldwide, allowing participants to experience them on site, ask questions, and discuss cooperation. The Operations Center of Hansi Association for Technology Innovation and Development stated that the demo exhibition area facilitated at least 17 preliminary cooperation intentions within two days.
At the closing ceremony, the chair of the Executive Committee of Hansi Association for Technology Innovation and Development announced that the seventh Hansi Technology Frontier Forum will return to Shenzhen in 2026, with its theme centered on AI for Science.
